3.1 Add / Edit Product Data

The form for product editing and creation in Store Manager for WooCommerce contains tabs with the following information:

  • The "Content" tab includes basic product's details, such as title, ID number, the date of adding and last modification, short and full product description, etc.

  • The "General" tab. Specify a product type (click on the option that calls the drop-down list with the possible types) and, in case your product is virtual or downloadable, select one of the checkboxes shown below:

  • The "General" sector contains fields where you can specify a SKU number and product price and others:

  • Specify the quantity (stock) of the current product and its stock availability in the "Inventory" sector:

  • The "Shipping" sector in the "Product Data" tab allows you to specify the main product parameters:

For example, when buying shoes, you can additionally order some items of footwear care, such as shoe wax paste or special shoe brush etc.

  • The "Linked Products" sector includes existing upsells and cross-sells, which allow to sell product with one another.

The "Upsells" area:

For example, selling smart phones, to the basic models, with the screen expansion of 5 inches, you can add the following list of upsells products with 5.4 inches, 6 inches and above.

In other words, a seller can offer a customer a similar model, but more expensive and with better characteristics than the one he/she was going to buy.

The "Cross-sells" area serves to add additional items based on the current order's choice.

For example, when buying shoes, you can additionally order some items of footwear care, such as shoe wax paste or special shoe brush etc.

  • The "Attributes" sector gives the possibility to assign relevant attributes to the current product. Open the relevant tab and choose the necessary one.

To clear attributes list from unused or inactive ones, use the corresponding button in the current tab:

  • The "Advanced" sector contains the following data fields:

  • The "Categories" tab represents the category tree of your store.

You can perform assignment in a bulk for the selected products.

Use filter's parameter "Show products without categories" to be able to see which data at your store have no categories assigned.

Now you can select all and press the option for modification:

In the Lower Grid Editor form activate the "Category" tab and choose positions from the category tree that you want the selected items will be assigned to:

Do not forget to click the [Apply] button to save and reflect the changes at the store.

  • The "Product Tags" tab. Specify some words, phrases associated with your product. This will facilitate the search process of this item at your store.

You have an opportunity to add few tags values at once:

To be able to clear the tags list use the following options:

  • The media "Gallery" tab:

To remove an image from the store click the corresponding button:

Press [Apply] and changes will reflect in Store Manager.

  • The "Custom Fields" - will be available in the next version of Store Manager.
